Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 September 2026

The short version

1. Who we are

"Bazi Chart" (the "Service") is an independently operated website at https://bazi.277687.xyz that calculates traditional Chinese Four Pillars of Destiny (八字) charts and offers an optional paid written reading.

For anything in this policy — including any request about your data — write to [email protected].

2. What we collect

WhatDetailsWhy
Chart details Birth date, birth time (or "time unknown"), birthplace and its latitude / longitude / timezone, and gender. Required to calculate your Four Pillars and Luck Pillars. Gender is needed because the Luck Pillar sequence runs in opposite directions for men and women.
Email address Optional, entered at checkout. To send your receipt and to help you recover your reading link. If you leave it blank, your reading is still delivered on screen right after payment.
Order & payment records Our internal order ID, the Stripe checkout session ID, payment status, amount and currency, and the email address Stripe returns to us. To confirm you paid, to deliver your reading, and to meet accounting obligations.
Technical logs IP address, browser user-agent and request timestamps, recorded by our web server and by our CDN provider. Security, fraud prevention and keeping the Service available.

We do not ask for your name, phone number, postal address, government ID, or any special-category data. We do not want it, and you should not send it to us.

3. Cookies, advertising and tracking

We set no cookies of our own, and we run no analytics. We build no profiles of visitors, and we do not sell personal information.

We do, however, show advertising on the free guides. That advertising is served by Google through the AdSense programme, and it has consequences you are entitled to know about. Stated plainly:

Advertising never appears on anything you have paid for. Your report page, the checkout, and the link we email you carry no ads of any kind. We also do not put ads on the calculator itself or next to the payment button.

One necessary cookie is set by our CDN and security provider, Cloudflare (__cf_bm), to tell humans and bots apart and absorb attacks. It is not used for advertising or profiling.

Your choices

You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, and opt out of personalised advertising from many other vendors at aboutads.info or Your Online Choices. Opting out does not remove ads; it makes them non-personalised.

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google requires your consent before advertising cookies are used. For those regions we use Google's own certified consent management platform, which presents a consent message before any advertising cookie is set, lets you refuse as easily as you accept, and provides a way to change your mind later. The "Change my cookie and ad consent settings" link below reopens that message.

Change my cookie and ad consent settings

If no consent message was shown to you — because you are outside those regions, or because the ad stack is not active — that link will simply do nothing.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA/CPRA gives you the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, which includes the use of your data for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can exercise that right with the consent controls above, or by emailing us.

Blocking advertising cookies may affect how well the site's free guides can be supported, but it will never affect a reading you have paid for.

4. How we use your information

5. Who we share it with

We share data only with the service providers needed to run this site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.

ProviderWhat it receivesRole
Stripe Your email address and full payment details. Stripe returns only a payment confirmation to us. Payment processing. Your card number never reaches our server.
Cloudflare IP address and request metadata. DNS, TLS termination, CDN and bot protection. Cloudflare also serves the cdnjs library CDN that this site loads its Markdown-rendering scripts from, so it sees those requests too.
Google (advertising) IP address, browser and device information, and cookie or advertising-identifier data. Not your birth details, email address or order contents. Serving and measuring the advertisements shown on the free guides, including personalised advertising where you have consented. Google acts as an independent controller for this purpose. Our guides are free precisely because these ads pay for them.
Our hosting provider Stores the order database on a private virtual server located in the United States. Running the application.
AI model provider Your birth date, birth time and birthplace coordinates, plus the chart facts derived from them (pillars, elements, Luck Pillars, gender). Composing the paid written reading. Your email address, name and payment details are never sent to it.
Email delivery service Your email address and the message we send you. That message contains your order ID and the private link to your reading — it does not contain your birth details. Sending your order confirmation and reading link. Since there is no account and no password, this is the only way to reach you after you close the page.

We may also disclose information if we are legally required to, or to protect the rights and safety of the Service or its users.

6. Where your data goes

These providers operate in several countries, including the United States, the European Union and elsewhere, so your information may be processed outside the country you live in. Where the law requires safeguards for such transfers, we rely on appropriate mechanisms such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, and we choose providers that offer them.

7. How long we keep it

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR, or the CCPA/CPRA in California — you may have the right to:

Email [email protected] and we will respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity — normally by asking you to write from the email address on the order.

One practical note: if you ask us to delete an order, the reading link tied to it will stop working. We will tell you that before we do it, so you can keep a copy first.

You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

9. Security

The whole site runs over HTTPS. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe and never touches our server. Access credentials for our server are kept in a restricted file readable only by the service account.

No system is perfectly secure and we cannot promise absolute security. If a breach ever affects your data, we will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires it.

10. Children

This Service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used the Service, email us and we will delete the record.

11. Changes to this policy

We update this policy from time to time. When we do, we change the "last updated" date above. If a change is significant, we will say so on the home page.

12. Contact

[email protected] — for privacy questions, data requests, refunds, or anything about an order.
